Mike Hale

Writer/Director/Editor

Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Mike Hale is an award-winning filmmaker specializing in writing, directing, editing, and composing. He holds an M.F.A. in film production, B.A. in English with a minor in film, and a certificate in digital cinematography. He has an enthusiastic passion for film history and theory – keeping a log of every film
he watches. When not studying or creating film, Hale is a professional bass player performing throughout the southeast.

Justin Prince

Producer

 Justin is a native of Kenova, WV and graduated from Marshall University's broadcast journalism program where he won several awards as a student journalist. Prior to receiving his MFA in film production Justin spent time working as a professional journalist at a daily paper in Ironton, Ohio. Justin’s background in journalism strongly influences his work in film, as he recently began to explore documentary film, as a new means to convey the stories he feels should be shared with the world. His first completed documentary Hidden in the Everglades: American Crocodiles has been met with much success, gaining acceptance into six film festivals and earning a win in the Best Documentary category. Aside from documentaries, Justin works as a freelance writer and videographer and has plans to produce independent feature films.

Victoria Abram-Copenhaver

Producer

Victoria is a Director and Producer, located in Orlando, Florida. She recently earned a Masters of Fine Arts Degree in Film Production from Full Sail University.

 

Before attending Full Sail University, Victoria worked in Chicago as an actress, teacher and director for theater. With her film degree, Victoria is driven to tell compelling and influential stories that will inspire and engage young adults through film and television.

 

While in school, Victoria was a Producer for her thesis film, “Fenrik the Troll”.  She also directed the short films, "My Side", "Joy", "There Was This Girl" and "The Coffee Date".

 

Victoria is currently Directing and Producing the original short film, "Brave". She looks forward to continuing her Directing and Producing career as a Director and Producer of children’s programing.

 

Tia Salajan

1st Assistant Director

Tia Salajan is a film editor from Orlando, Florida. She has a Maters of Fine Arts degree in Film Production from Full Sail University and a Bachelors of Art degree in Film Studies from the University of South Florida.

 

Tia has worked on many short films in a variety of positions but prefers the post-production side.  As an editor she can really bring the story to life. Her passion for film making stems from being able to take an idea and turn it into a story that we can see, it has helped to guide her path as a filmmaker.

 

Tia has created several of her own short films and will continue to do so. Her short film Pride placed as a campus finalist at campus moviefest, a film festival made for students. The students get five days to shoot and edit their films.  Once submitted the top 16 films from that school become campus finalists. Her short stop motion film Dreams won a kid’s audience choice award at the Acme Film Festival.

 

Tia is working on several more shorts to be shot in the future. She is currently working as a freelance editor for a small company. She also works at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Aaron Bray

2nd Assistant Director

Aaron Bray is an independent filmmaker originally from Wisconsin. He is a student in Full Sail University’s Film M.F.A. program.

 

Since arriving at Full Sail, Aaron has written, directed and produced several short films of his own; additionally, he has collaborated with students on numerous projects, on both sides of the camera.

 

The highlights of his career at Full Sail thus far have been working as Second Assistant Director on the thesis film “Fenrik the Troll” as well as an acting role in the thesis film “Bad Connection.”

 

Aaron really enjoys a collaborative approach to filmmaking and gets excited about the magic that happens when the right people come together.

 

When not involved in making films, Aaron can be found playing the drums, playing volleyball, or whipping up some new vegan cuisine. After graduation, Aaron plans to continue working in film, focusing on writing for television and movies.

Amanda Braido

2nd Assistant Director

Amanda is a filmmaker and marketing professional. She was born in Brazil and has worked with business, marketing and fashion, until finally deciding to move to the United States to pursue her dream: filmmaking. She recently graduated with a Masters in Film Production degree at Full Sail University. She loves movies, travelling and chocolate, not necessarily in that order. You can find her on Instagram (@amandabraido) or a movie theater, catching up with the latest releases and eating popcorn, not necessarily in that order.

Jesse Timm

Script Supervisor

During preproduction, Jesse Timm was the casting director for Fenrik the Troll. He loves working with talent in order to find the perfect fit for the director’s vision. On set, Jesse was the script supervisor and kept a close eye on the story as it was being shot. He kept the sound, camera, and production departments on the same page and documented the crew’s daily progress. Currently, he is working on writing and developing several of his own projects and hopes to see them come to life in the near future.

William Robertson

Director of Photography

Joe is a storyteller, working in multiple mediums – including film and prose. In film, he works as a writer, director, and director of photography. In prose, he works as an author of novels and short stories. He holds two bachelors degrees, one in History and the other in English-Writing, both from Marshall University. In addition to those, he holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Production from Full Sail University. His professional accomplishments include having multiple short films screened at a variety of festivals, as well as being a published author. His passion for storytelling drives him to continue creating his stories as well as consuming as many other works as possible.

Sylvia Monterroso

Camera Operator

Sylvia has her B.A in Communications and Media through Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, IL.  She graduated in August 2014 and worked on a few student projects. Sylvia worked in a After school matters program ran by Gallery 37 in Chicago, Il in which she was a production Assistant and Camera Operator. Sylvia is Currently taking her M.F.A in Film Production at Full Sail University in Orlando, Fl. On Fenrik the Troll, Sylvia, became the first female camera operator on a Full Sail University MFA thesis film. 

Courtney Prantl

1st Assistant Camera

Courtney Prantl is a filmmaker. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Digital Communications from Lycoming College, and recently received her MFA in Film Production from Full Sail University. She enjoys all aspects of filmmaking, particularly writing, cinematography, and set design. It is her goal to join a production company that will allow her to work on a wide variety of productions in both film and television. One thing that excites her about working in this industry is the opportunity to travel all over the world, doing what she loves, and creating stories that will inspire people.

Amy Sulbaran Sanchez

Production Designer

Amy is a Master in Film Production graduated from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Communications at Universidad Bicentenaria de Aragua at Maracay, Venezuela in 2014. She studied English at La Salle College in Montreal, Canada in 2006 and studied French in Nice, France in 2013. Amy took a Photography and Editing course in Ingenium CRTV in Venezuela. With this knowledge and her master degree program classes, she knows run Adobe Premier Pro CC 2015, Final Cut Pro and Avid Media Composer . On the other hand, She has participated as a Producer in many show productions in Venezuela as "Exhibición de Talentos Infantil Staff 2010"​ and "Voces Sin Rostro"​.

 

    In order to become a filmmaker and Art Director, Amy has worked in many personal projects as a Producer, Director, Cinematographer and as a Production Designer in her Thesis Project at Full Sail University. Where she got the Best Short Film Award in Venus de Nacar with "Eva Maria"​ and Best Production in Cine Terror Proyecto with "El Descendiente."​ 

 

    Amy is one of the Founder and Art Coordinator of Acme Film Festival whos is having the second edition on October 2015. Also, she is currently an intern as a Production Assistant in Adrenaline Films based in Orlando, Florida. She waits to get more on set and corporative's experience during this opportunity.

Arae Webner

Art Director

Arae Webner is an Orlando based Art Director and Production Designer. Passion Driven, her versatile skill sets help to bring concepts to reality with a love of design, color and ascetic. Her work ranges from Narrative, Music Video, Documentary and Commercial.

Matt Germeyer

Costume Designer

Matt is a recent graduate from the MFA Film Production program at Full Sail University.  He received his BA in Theatre and Communication Arts from Gannon University, where he diligently worked to graduate a semester early.  He graduated with honors and as an alumnus to the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.  He is eager to get on as many film and television sets as possible to help create the works of art he enjoys watching everyday. His plans are to go wherever the road may lead him, in hopes to direct his own feature films someday, but currently resides in Pittsburgh, PA.

Katie Gelhart

Makeup Artist

Katie Gelhart is a special effects makeup artist and owner of KageFX. Specializing in special effects, period pieces, and fantasy looks; she works in all things film and television. She is also willing to work on independent films, shorts, and music videos. Katie creates one-of-a-kind prosthetics from sculpting to application and painting. She is skilled in airbrushing, hand painting, as well as a range of other techniques for creating realistic characters and creative looks. She is willing to travel internationally for work but is currently based out of Orlando, FL.

Ryan Shane

DIT

Ryan Davidson Shane, currently holds two degrees in Graphic Design, an AS Graphic Design from Florida Gateway College and the other is a BS in Digital Arts and Design from Full Sail University. Currently Ryan is working on toward his MFA in Film Production, also at Full Sail.  Ryan has worked on various video projects over the years including  writing and directing a commerical ad for a local hot sauce supplier. Ryan was also was Best Boy electric for Stored Away, By the Tail and Dolores, before working as DIT for Fenrick the Troll.

Zac Markley

Fenrik

Zachary C. Markley is a actor, writer and filmmaker currently studying at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. In his spare time he is a freelance musician and performer, a sports fan and film collector. He would like to thank the amazing crew of Fenrik the Troll for the great opportunity to bring the character to life and is looking forward to working with all of them again in the future.

Ella Ryann

Little Girl

Ella was born England, but has lived most of her life in various parts of the United States before settling in Florida. Ella’s interests are dancing, singing and going to school with her friends. Her favorite subject is science and in the future Ella hopes to become either a Paleontologist or a professional actor. Fenrik the Troll was Ella’s first experience with acting and she enjoyed the star treatment she received on set and hopes to do more acting going forward.
